1. CNC lathes are most suitable for processing small and medium-sized batches of various types of parts. When processing small batches and single-piece production, it can also be used if it can shorten the debugging time of the program and the preparation time of the tooling.
2. Parts processed by CNC lathes with high precision requirements. Because CNC lathes have good processing rigidity, high manufacturing precision, accurate tool setting, and can easily perform dimensional compensation, they can process parts with high dimensional accuracy requirements.
3. CNC lathes process parts with small surface roughness values. When the material of the workpiece and tool, the finishing allowance and the tool angle are fixed, the surface roughness depends on the cutting speed and feed speed. Generally, lathes have a constant rotation speed, and the cutting speeds are different for different diameters. For example, CNC lathes have a constant linear speed cutting function. The same linear speed can be used when turning end faces and outer circles of different diameters to ensure that the surface roughness value is small and consistent.
4. Parts with messy outline shapes. Any plane curve can be approximated by a straight line or an arc. CNC lathe processing has an arc interpolation function and can process parts with various complex contours.
